Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using PodSetup, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use PodSetup. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian.

PodSetup helps podcasters and creators manage equipment, save recording locations, generate setup guidance, scan gear, capture room photos, and analyze short audio samples for practical recording recommendations.

AI-generated recommendations are guidance only. You are responsible for deciding whether recommendations are appropriate for your space, gear, workflow, and safety needs.

The free tier may limit equipment items, saved locations, and acoustic analyses. PodSetup Pro provides unlimited saved equipment and locations plus 30 AI assists per UTC month, with a 10-assist UTC weekly guardrail. These AI-assist limits are hard caps, not unlimited AI access.

Subscriptions are processed through StoreKit and the Apple App Store, with RevenueCat used where available to read and sync entitlement status. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple terms and App Store account settings. We do not directly process refunds.

By using AI features, you authorize PodSetup to transmit the necessary photos, audio-derived data, and setup context to the PodSetup Railway AI backend for processing.

The iOS app does not send your content directly to OpenAI or another model provider. The backend may use configured model providers to produce the requested response.

Each backend AI result counts as one AI assist for Pro quota purposes, including equipment scanning, equipment-library matching, setup recommendations, room-photo acoustic recommendations, and audio analysis guidance. Backend AI requests may also be subject to short-window rate limits.

Your equipment library, locations, setup notes, checklists, recommendations, media paths, and preferences are stored locally using SwiftData and FileManager unless a feature explicitly requires AI backend processing.

Anonymous service-session tokens and quota credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and backups. Resetting local app data or deleting the app may remove local records and media from the device, but it does not cancel subscriptions or reset server-side quota, entitlement, or rate-limit records.

PodSetup uses an anonymous backend service profile to authorize AI requests, sync subscription entitlement status, and enforce quotas without requiring a named app account.

Pro AI assists are limited to 10 per UTC week and 30 per UTC month. These are hard caps. The backend may also apply short-window rate limits to session bootstrap and AI requests to protect service reliability.

Quota counters, entitlement snapshots, refresh sessions, and AI-assist reservations are stored by the Railway backend. An AI assist is reserved before eligible AI generation and released if the backend request fails before completion.

PodSetup acoustic analysis is not a calibrated room measurement system. It does not provide true RT60, absolute SPL, certified noise measurements, or professional engineering reports.

Phone microphone quality, microphone placement, recording duration, room noise, speaker distance, and device processing can affect results. Treat recommendations as practical starting points, then listen and adjust.

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer backend services, upload unlawful content, interfere with app security, or use generated content in a way that violates third-party rights.

You retain rights to content you capture or enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate app features you choose to use.

PodSetup is provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Infral Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the app.

PodSetup recommendations do not replace professional acoustic, electrical, legal, or safety advice.
